Our take
The Cycad Lodge & Chalets is the kind of place I would choose for a peaceful stay in Nelspruit with children or a partner. The swimming pool, games room and BBQ facilities make it easy to stay in, the on-site restaurant saves a drive, and the spa and wellness facilities suit couples. Rooms are air-conditioned with satellite TV. Being a short drive from the city centre, it is not a walk-everywhere base, so factor in transport.
- Take advantage of the on-site restaurant for convenient dining after a day out.
- Explore the city centre, just a three-minute drive away, for shopping and entertainment.
- Relax by the swimming pool or enjoy a BBQ in the evening for a laid-back experience.

Why guests love itThe Cycad Lodge & Chalets is a peaceful stay in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, a short drive from the city centre. Air-conditioned rooms have satellite TV and private bathrooms, and the swimming pool, games room and BBQ facilities suit families. An on-site restaurant and spa and wellness facilities round it out. With an 8.8 rating from over 500 reviews, I would recommend it for a calm, family-friendly base rather than a central one.
